Welcome to Libby’s Soaps & Candles
Hi, I’m Luria Thompson—but you can call me Libby! I’m the maker and creative heart behind Libby’s Soaps & Candles. My journey began in February 2017 with handmade soaps and a love for creating. In 2019, that creativity grew to include candle making, opening the door to new fragrances, designs, and ways to bring a little joy into everyday life. Today, my collection includes handmade soaps, candles, wax melts, lotions, body creams, body butters, body oils, and sugar scrubs. From choosing fragrance combinations to adding the finishing touches, I put care and personality into what I create.
My Heart Behind the Brand
My faith is at the heart of who I am, and that spirit of love, gratitude, and purpose carries into my business. I believe taking a moment for yourself can be simple: washing with a favorite bar of soap, smoothing on a rich body cream, or filling your space with a fragrance that makes you smile. Those small moments deserve a place in your day. My hope is that something I create helps you pause, feel cared for, and enjoy the moment—whether you’re treating yourself or choosing a thoughtful gift for someone else. As Libby’s Soaps & Candles grows, my goal remains personal: to create products I’m proud to share and give you a welcoming place to find something you love.
A Little Creativity. A Lot of Personality
Creating is one of my favorite parts of this journey, and you’ll see that throughout the shop. Some products are soft and understated. Others are colorful, playful, and full of personality—because everyday essentials can be fun, too! My food- and drink-inspired candles and wax melts bring that playful side to life. With coffeehouse-inspired scents and dessert-style designs, they make memorable gifts and conversation pieces. They may look good enough to eat, but candles and wax melts are NOT EDIBLE. Keep them away from children and pets, and always follow the care instructions provided. Thank you for supporting my small business and the hands behind every creation.
